The festa major (town fair) is a classic celebration, usually happening over the summer months, and carried out pretty much in every single village, town and city in catalonia and in spain. It’s characteristics are usually the same everywhere but always with a local flare and tradition specific to that town.
The town of Cardedeu, next to Arcadia Oasis, is no exception, and is definitely not to be missed. It takes place over the weekend closest to 15th August, and no expenses are spared. The festival happens all over the town with pockets of activity, games and concerts happening the weekend in various locations, such as a fairground with rides, games and food, magic shows, concerts and so on.
Be sure to check it out when visiting mid August.
